2010 RACE

Race begins at 9:00a.m., rain or shine, at South Lakes High School.

Schedule:

Early Packet Pickup/Late Registration:

Runners can pick up their packets at Reston Hospital Center (1850 Town Center Parkway, Reston, VA, 20190) on Friday, October 1st. Runners who haven't registered can also register at Reston Hospital on Friday, October 1st.  Packet pick-up and late registration will be between 1-7pm in the Hospital West Wing Lobby. 

Packet Pickup/Same-day Registration:

Same-day registration and pre-registered runners can pickup their race packets, t-shirt, and race number (no race number switching allowed) at South Lakes High School on Saturday morning prior to the race start. 

Start Times:
Both the 8K race and the 2K Fun Run will start and finish at South Lakes High School Stadium

8K Race: 9:00 AM
Fun Run: 9:05 AM

Entries: Please register online through Active.com or via mail by sending entry FORM with check made out to(Brain Aneurysm Race for Awareness 8k) to:

Incomplete or illegible forms or forms without correct entry fees will be returned.

Online registration deadline is Wednesday, September 29th at 5pm.  Mailed registrations must be received by Friday, October 1st, so please allow enough time when mailing. 

Other Information:

Timing: New for the 2010 Susco 8K is the use of Chrono Track D-Tag Timing System.  Video instructions for new users can be viewed HERE. 

Race T-Shirt: All runners will receive a technical race shirt.

Parking: Plenty of parking will be available at South Lakes High School.

Water Stops: There will be one water stop on the course for the 8K.  Water will also be provided after the race. 

Awards:

8K Awards:
The top three overall male and female finishers will receive cash awards:
$100 1st Place
$50 2nd Place
$25 3rd Place

The top two males in the following age groups will receive gift certificates to Metro Run & Walk:
19 & Under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60 & Over.

The top two females in the following age groups will receive Gift certificates to Metro Run & Walk:
19 & Under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60 & Over.

There will be no duplication of awards.

Awards ceremony will be held shortly after the last runner of the 8K finishes.
Random Prizes: An assortment of random prizes will be drawn before and after each award ceremony, so stick around and you might win something.
