2011 RACE

October 1, 2011

Race begins at 9:00a.m., rain or shine, at South Lakes High School. 

Schedule:

Early Packet Pickup/Late Registration:

Runners can pick up their packets at Reston Hospital Center (1850 Town Center Parkway, Reston, VA, 20190) on Friday, September 30th. Runners who haven't registered can also register at Reston Hospital on Friday, September 30th.  Packet pick-up and late registration will be between 2-8pm in the Hospital West Wing Lobby. 

Packet Pickup/Same-day Registration:

Same-day registration and pre-registered runners can pickup their race packets, t-shirt, and race number (no race number switching allowed) at South Lakes High School on Saturday morning prior to the race start. 

Start Times:
Both the 8K race and the 2K Fun Run will start and finish at South Lakes High School Stadium

8K Race: 9:00 AM
Fun Run: 9:05 AM

Entries:  **ONLINE AND IN-MAIL REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED** 

In-person registration is available Friday, September 30th between 2-8pm at Reston Hospital -- West Wing Lobby, or Saturday, October 1st from 7:30am until the race begins.   

Other Information:

Timing: The 2011 Susco 8K uses the IPICO Sports Tag Timing System.  Video instructions for new users can be viewed HERE. 

Race T-Shirt: All runners will receive a technical race shirt.

Parking: Plenty of parking will be available at South Lakes High School.

Water Stops: There will be one water stop on the course for the 8K.  Water will also be provided after the race. 

Awards:

8K Awards:

The top three overall male and female finishers will receive cash awards:
$200 1st Place
$100 2nd Place
$50 3rd Place

The top two males in the following age groups will receive gift certificates to Potomac River Running: 19 & Under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60 & Over.

The top two females in the following age groups will receive Gift certificates to Potomac River Running: 19 & Under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60 & Over.

There will be no duplication of awards.

Awards ceremony will be held shortly after the last runner of the 8K finishes.
Random Prizes: An assortment of random prizes will be drawn before and after each award ceremony, so stick around and you might win something.
